Audiotronics Classroom Record Player

This post will dictate if I post again on this forum.. Last time I posted some neat pics of something and asked a few questions, I got absolutely no response..

Anyways on to the subject.. I picked up this old Audiotronics classroom record player for $25 at the local thrift shop.. This place tends to be a bit high on the prices, and they have a half off sale each Saturday on all the colored price tags except for one color and that is the color of stuff they get in the week prior.. I was not going to wait two weeks to get half off when someone else would have bought it before me.. It's got more features than the average classroom record player.. The pitch speed control and the strobe indicator.. This thing sounds amazing for something that is mono, especially the bass, it puts out amazing bass, and is 100 times better than those Crosley POS they put out now a days... This thing has one very small issue, and my guess would be the belts or tires, but there is slight slipping going on as does show while in motion, and you can tell ever so slightly in the audio, and the strobe indicator does stay steady... I did a Google search for classroom record player belts, and nothing came up.. I did get belts for home turntables, but I would imagine this may need a belt on a clutch, tire etc.. Does anyone know who sells belts for these types of turntables?

Hope you're getting better info than last time. I don't think your threat to drop out was very fair. This site is awesome and typically a great source of information. You may simply have hit on a topic that nobody was familiar with.

To the best of my knowledge, this turntable is idler drive. And do remember Gary Stork at www.thevoiceofmusic.com is your best source for rebuilt idler wheels and for 89T cartridges. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and gives great customer service.
