B&K Components Unloved & Undervalued

I have this setup that was trying to sell locally. Got it hooked up for typical no show CLer.. And quite impressed with the sound. I havent used this setup in awhile but I feel it sounds as good or better than the other midfi gear out there. Adcom, NAD, Rotel etc... very musical. And I recall them not being cheap when new in the 90's.. My setup is :

I love B&K gear. I put it right there with Parasound as kind of top of mid-fi/ a glimpse into hi-fi gear.

I believe it was a pro10mc preamp and an EX-442 amp that opened my eyes to what seperates were capable of and steered me away from vintage receivers.

The majority of my 7 ch AV system runs on B&K gear ...
Adcom ACE units control switched power from an Integra AVR-

B&K ST202plus runs the Front mains
B&K AV5000 Series II runs the center, sides, and rears.
HK Citation 22 bridged to Mono runs the JBL B460 sub.

The B&K amplifier sound is superb on the UREI coaxial monitors!

Driving my stacked smaller Advents w/ a modded AV500 and a Yamaha front end.
Sounds good enough that that I entertain thoughts of a better location for it. I will try it with different speakers eventually.

AVR 307 here, use it for 2 channel. Solid performer.

I see quite a few B&K.
Really well built stuff.
Read about cap issues and found that problem at times. I think they got burned by the Capacitor Plague back then.

It does seem to be under loved stuff outside those who know.

I had a ST-202 that I bought in 1987. Replaced by a Forte amp, then a Coda.
