Best Long Term Amp Storage?

What's the best way to store a tube amp - perhaps for a number of years?

After trying a few different options, I don't think I can use my Scott 222B in my small room. It really needs larger speakers than the room can take. I don't want to get rid of it, but I don't really know when I will be able to use it.

I'd just stick it on a shelf in a closet and throw a towel or something over it to keep the dust off...

I'd be inclined to bag it, with a couple of packets of desiccant (moisture absorber) in with it. Seal it in the bag... that'll keep humidity, bugs, dust, and other pests/hazards away from it.

When it's reopened, you WILL want to have someone variac it up (ramp up the voltage slowly) on first start. Then enjoy!
