BeyerDynamic DT150 400 ogm with Marzanzt 2230

Hi all

So I have a a vintage Marantz 2230 receiver and looking at a pair of BeyerDynamic DT150 400 ohm headphones

Will there be a problem driving these headphones with the Marantz and also looking at the DT 100's as wel

Yoyr advice is always greatly appreciated

BTW, sorry for the typo in thread title should be 400 ohm and Marantz

It won’t be a problem. I run my headphones through a Magni 3, but I also use a Sherwood S8900a or S9400 with my Sundara.
There’s very little difference between the integrated amplifier, and the dedicated headphone amp from my experience. (Note your mileage may differ, and I do have some receivers that sound like crap when using the headphone jack)

The Marantz should sound nice and will have more than enough power even with the 400 ohm cans.

both my 2230 and 2270 drove my 600 ohm Sennheisers with no problem
