BIC Venturi V620's. Anyone have 'em? And what are your thoughts?

I bought this pair fo BIC's for $40 about 3 or 4 years ago. They are smallish two way towers with a port on teh bottom back. THey are my Dining room speakers, and they run off a load balance with 4 other sets of speakers powered by this beastly modern-day 85 watt Onkyo multimedia receiver. I have to say, I really like them. THey are more of a rock speaker but they sound great when you crank them up a bit. Just curious who else likes these (or displikes).

I am in the process of setting up a new system with a Yamaha CA-1010 and some yet to be determined speakers and turntable. These will not likely make the grade there, but they are fun and sound fairly detailed and warm with nice if not slightly rolled off highs, same with the mids, warm and detailed but a tad back. Just curious of others experiences.

Peace...

I have a pair of the V830.3 way towers.Have had them for 15+ years.Sound great to me when set up in the right area & they like lots of power.Been in the garage unused for quite some time-a speaker I havent been able to part with. Might have to give them another listen now that you mention..

You found a pair of v620s years ago for $40? Score! I'm a audio technician and have had these speakers in my office for years and always enjoyed their sound. At around $400, they were also very moderately priced when taking their sound and design into account.

I see a lot of people really don't appreciate Bic spks. I picked up a pair of Bic Venchuri formula 6 for 25 bucks, Blew me away when I hooked them up! These things sound great! Enjoy yours.
