I never thought I'd see the day... Some of the empty space in Shoppingtown Mall in Syracuse has been filled by a pretty well stocked reseller of vintage audio. I've bought two pieces from one of the owners off CraigsList previously, so he invited me up. Very nice guy, willing to deal.
The store is called HionFi, and as you can see from the pix they have a decent variety of silver receivers (I saw Sansui, Pioneer, a couple of Yamaha, NICE Fisher 500c and 800c, others), Original Advent, KLH, Klipsch speaks along with a very nice pair of AR3's etc. Not much in the way of Turntables, though I did score some cheap used vinyl. Most impressive was a set of gorgeous KLH Model Nine electrostatic speakers, first time I've seen/heard them. A little soft on the highs but really good sounding.
I thought prices were pretty reasonable, less than FleaBay more than BT here on AK. The KLH Nines are $900, way rich for my blood but a good price for the shape they're in.
No affiliation beyond what I said above, but would love to see these guys survive and thrive. Cool to see our hobby get some big time exposure!
