Watkins Copicat, what's it worth?

I have an old Watkins Copycat tape delay I'm thinking about letting go as I haven't used it in years, and I'm old enough now whereas I probably never will. It's probably an early 70s model by the looks of it. I hooked it up yesterday to see what it would do; it powered up, and the motor turned freely. That's all I've tried so far. The tape is gone at the moment. I have some old tape laying around, and today I'm going to clean it up, splice another tape and try it out. I know someone who is interested in this, but don't have a clue of what it may be worth. I could service it, or if it is playing alright, I may not. Any ideas of what it's worth?copycat2.jpg
Here's a pic of one similar to it, if not downright like it.

It's worth having a Moderator move this thread to "Dollars & Sense" which is where one ask questions regarding worth.

In the meantime a Google search using "Watkins Copicat tape delay" turned up some decent numbers which should give you a starting point as you empower yourself by doing some research.

I would also suggest having the thread title changed as currently it's very vague with no mention of what it is you're trying to accomplish

I'm all for it; how do you do that?

Seems like a modern unit would be more reliable and easier to use... I mean, someone may be interested in it just because it it old and rare, but I would not want to have to deal with tape.

Some new units actually try to reproduce the sound quality of the old ones ;)
I use a Digital Delay and pretend. With my level of play, it works most of the time.

I've been working on this old Copicat, and it's almost ready for testing. About all I have left is replacing the power cord with a grounded one that's on order. The other parts were a little challenging as none of them are standard by today standards, so a little faniggling here and there got me in the ball park. The ones that were about the same were $$$$ costly. Here's a few pics of what's been going on. I thought about hooking it up after church and testing it today. I do have the case in the garage though to blow it out real good before I clean it up. I was amazed how well the rest of it cleaned up for something this old.
