Bose 10.2 ...?

Yup, I'm gonna ask a Bose question....

I've sold all my Bose speakers long ago, and only regret selling the 601's.

I have found a set 10.2's and they look very interesting to me...:scratch2:

Anyone have any experience with them?

Are they worth $100?

Try not to flame me to hard...

OK...this brings back SO MANY memories.....

I think that they were $1200 new, and I know that my father had a pair when I was 3, and those got me started into loving audio.

If I was near you, and had $100, they would be mine just for the nostalgia.

If you do get them, PLEASE let me know how they sound.

I was 3, but I remember them being much larger than I was at that time....

I have a pair of these, the overall sound is at least decent to very good. I could never figure out how they were supposed to be placed, however! The connectors are on the bottom, so that was no help, and as far as the grills, well they're Bose so that doesn't help! I remember that in one position, the image was Huge, but of course not very accurate, In another position the image was small, with everything toward the center.

This thread reminded me about them, I just Googled & found a copy of the manual. It shows them set up "square" with one set of drivers forward & the other inward, toward the other driver. I believe thats close to how I had them set up in the first description. I may dig them out now & give them a 2nd listen. I believe that at best, you will achieve a very wide sound stage, I don't know if it could ever become accurate.

Again, the overall sound is pretty good, if nothing else, they will probably be an excellent rear speaker for HT use!
