Hey All,

I've decided to host a get-together on Saturday, November 20th from 1:00pm to 5:00 (I'm assuming that's a good time frame). Some things to note: I live on the 3rd Floor of a walk-up building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, so heavy and large components are not the best idea. Also, the main room is about 12' x 18' so, unfortunately, I can't have too many people. I'd love to hear some tube amps if you got them, but all equipment is welcome.

I have the following equipment:

Speakers: DeVore Fidelity Gibbon 8, Tekton Designs Model 6.5, AV123 ELT 5.0 set and SVS PB-10 sub.

Amps/Preamps: Quad 303, Trends Audio TA 10.2P, Onkyo 706 (receiver) and TCC-TC754 preamp.

Source: Dual 504 TT, Emotiva ERC-1 CDP and an old Sony DVP (DVD, SACD, CD)

I should be able to make that. Gonna have to figure out how to get into Brooklyn, I have only been to the city twice and both times someone else drove me. :D

I have a Magnavox 6v6 PP amp I might be able to drag along depending on method of travel. I will have to figure this out this weekend.
 
PM sent earlier... I'm planning on attending, planning on bringing my Audible Illusions tube preamp, maybe my Stereo 70 if no one can bring a better amp to represent the thermionic (tube) side of things.
 
It's great to see someone is doing something locally. Good for you, Eric. I'm not sure I can make that weekend but I'll mark the calendar anyway.

This forum might not be that well visited so if you wanted to drum up more members you might want to PM the initial responders in your first thread to be sure they know the time & date. You could also reach out to AKers who responded in these previous threads:

X.25 will be a good addition to the crowd. He comes up to the New England one and is a welcome guest and knowledgeable participant.
 
I might be able to make it but not till close to 3pm. Still, it'd be nice to see some people from this forum in person. What train goes out there?
 
I wish I could but I can't make it. Saturday is the last day of Soccer for my daughter. Definitely contact the people that Tinkerbelle pointed out. When I put something together many were from the city and lacked transportation to the suburbs.
 
So far I believe the attendees are:

Me, JonL, X_25, Zenith2134, Lizblue and possibly Scottsmrnyc. If you want to bring a friend it should be okay.
 
Who's bringing what?
I'm bringing my Audible Illusions preamp. I can bring some rekkids too I guess. I s'pose I could bring my Stereo 70 too if it were really wanted. Kind of a PITA. How's parking by you?

Good, then I won't bust my a$$ to bring the Dynaco. I still might if I'm feeling particularly energetic, but I don't usually feel that way on Saturday mornings.
 
I've been on a big late 60s early 70s rock kick lately. Jazz would be cool. Anything you want to bring is welcome.
 
Oooo... Mono! I might bring a mono record that was the first one to just blow me away fooling me into thinking it was stereo.

I've got a copy of Joni Mitchell - "Blue" that I think sounds really good on my rig, maybe I'll bring that. I'll see what else.
