Can two cdp be hooked into this pre ( unbalanced )? Also, if one were to hook up a add'l eq, where would the cables be plugged into?

That pre has quite a few preprogrammed labels you can call the different CDP's (anything but "Phono"). You can call anyone of them CD, DVD, SAT, LV, etc. It won't let you use the same label more than once. And as long as each hookup is "turned on" through the "Re-Title Inputs" programming menu on Page 13 of the owner's manual.
