Hi guys!! Hopefully someone can help me. Is there anyone on the board that has worked on Califone Commentator Model 12 MV record player? Its got a 3 tube amp, and I'd like to find someone who can rebuild the amp and make it safe to use. Those 66 year old electrolytics scare me!! I'm in NYC.
I'd also prefer to not have to ship the huge speaker. So, if anyone works on these and wants to take on this job, please IM me. Thanks!

No different than any other tube amp unless it is a hot chassis series string unit. Nowadays, the hot chassis can be made safe and they are probably a novelty to most people. I own and recapped and made safe two All American 5 type AM radios in their original cabinets with iso trannys.
