Good day Audiokarma! Thought I would share my latest audio score with you all. On my latest quest scouring the sell you this, trade you that pages, I found an ad for a pair of Camber 3.5's in great shape for a GREAT price.

I remember reading about these beautiful little creatures on one of my many lost interweb cruises and gave the gentleman a call as soon as my eyes seen the ad. I feel bad for calling him as in my excitment, forgot it was only 7:30am... Should have had some coffee first... D'oh!

Anyways, nice fellow.. He already had some java in him, all is good. Needless to say, it was a very painful day at work yesterday waiting for the drive to pick up these gems!

4:00 rolls around, off early! Mario Andretti'd myself down there had my first look and they really are in great shape! Aside from a couple of small scratches on the bottoms and a few light scuffs on the sides, I am a very happy camper!!

He had them hooked up to a crappy little "do it all" walmart stereo ready for a listen, still sounded good! Looking at the back of the speakers, the s/n are 350348R and 350348L... Matched pair! Brought them heavy little suckers home and 6 hours of audio bliss later, very pleased!

Anyhow enough chatter... The Pics!

Awww, what a great adventure! Don't it just make you smile from one end of the day to the other? Congratulations and enjoy!

Nice find! I've had a few Camber speakers and I really like them. They sound best with a high damping factor amp. I've had 2 pairs of 2.5s and a donor pair of 1.5s. Funny thing is they sell for well below their value in my opinion.

Great find. Those might even be nicer than the later Ti tweeter version if one can believe reviews. Very well built, thanks for the pics!

Thanks Bilbo. After seeing the build quality, might as well stole them for $40cdn!

Thanks Raynald. I have read some of the reviews on these and the Ti version, some claims of the titanium tweeter being a little harsh. I was able to listen to these for 6 hours and wanted more!

Looks like excellent quality, the magnet on the tweeter reminds me of the Polk monitor 5 I had open a few days ago. Enjoy!

Nice devices! Besides the solidly built cabinets, both the woofer and tweeter (I believe they are both Seas or Vifa, maybe a P17 variant on the woofer) are known for their eminently musical and listenable sound - between homebrew and production speakers, they were popular units.

I was quite surprised myself at the quality. The tweeter in these are a Vifa (not sure the model), and if I'm not mistaken, the later ti model is a seas...

These things are built like tanks! The tweeters in this model would be the Vifa's. As for the woofer, I had the understanding that Camber assembled thier own woofers in house with outsourced components...

Those are great speakers. I have my eye out for the 3.5 ti's. They are on my bucket list
