Cary Audio SLA-70 MKII - current market value

Hello Ak members,

I'm wondering if anyone can advise what the current value of a very good condition Cary Audio SLA-70 MKII might be? I'm new to tube amps so please be gentle with your responses.

I know from some research that I have done that there is a more desirable signature series of Cary Audio amps but I'm just looking to get a decent starter tube amp at a reasonable price to run with a pair of Klipsch vintage LSI. I am also considering a Dynaco ST-70 amp but not sure what is better for the money.

My quick look at eBay sold listings showed one sold recently for about $780 plus $125 shipping. No experience with Cary but this seems like a good price if the unit was in good operational and cosmetic condition. I saw one active listing on eBay for around $1500.

I suspect that others with more direct knowledge will chime in.
