the cabinets and tweeters are primitive looking, that alone kinda kills it for me.

that 550 watt rating makes me question their quality, too
if it doesnt peak til 550w how does it sound with 50 watts, or 10... or the 1 watt I can get a good sound from on other speakers

not trying to **** on them or anything, if they're good they're good and my opinions mean nothing, they just dont look like a good speaker, to me.

From what I've seen around the web, the older speakers they sold may be better than the more recent ones. ...but I didn't look hard for reviews.

Yeah, I found that too. Funny how on the back of the speakers it says Cat Consulting and Trading Company for Audio Equipment.

That just doesn't sound good to me. :scratch2:

CAT speakers

"Quasi" White Van- often sold on ubid.com along with other crap like Fluance. They try to make them look attractive and "high-tech" but they are very cheaply made and weigh almost nothing when compared to something of quality. At one time in the late 90s into the early 2000s uBid was a great source for Wharfedale and even Quad's dynamic speaker line for pennies on the $$ (although the shipping was quite high)-now they just have garbage like CAT.
