Celestion (44, 66 and 25) 12" Drivers are they the same?

Hi Guys,
been a long time since I have been here.
Got a question for the Vintage guys that know the Old Celestion Dittion Speakers.
Does anybody know if the 12" bass drivers that are in the Celestion Dittion 25,
Celestion Dittion 44 and the Celestion Dittion 66 are the same driver?

As I have a pair of 66's with dead drivers and a guy here in OZ has a pair of 12" drivers out of a 44's that I can get.... just wondering if they where the same or not?

Thanks
P.S Happy 4th July :thmbsp:

No idea of the answer but do your drivers have part numbers on the back of them? If so, you might be able to match them up with the numbers on the back of the ones for sale.

Just a thought.

looking at all the pics online....I believe they are the same. I have 4 Dittons 25's...and also a few extra woofers. How much was the guy asking for the Woofs??
I paid $75 for an extra pair....

They are the same, but there were different series of them. some have smaller dustcaps but the magnet assemblies are the same.

Thanks for the Replies Guys,

The ones I have seen are on Aussie Epay, but not sure how much postage will be as they are 3000 miles from me... it may be an expensive task.

I may have to "borrow" the drivers out of my spare pair of 25's that I picked up for parts.

P.S $75 for a spare pair is a Bargain!!

also KenP how do you like your B&W DM6 speakers?
I had a pair and LOVED them :thmbsp:... But Sold them a couple of years ago, when I got an offer I could not refuse.... Have been looking to get another pair ever since they left..

All the best from the cold parts of OZ... (it is winter down these parts...)

The dm6'2 are great speakers, I've always liked b&w since I bought a pair of dm14's many years ago.

Thanks Michael,
You made my day, I am just leaving to Drive and pickup the 66's (with the dead woofers)
I will take the 12" drivers out of my spare parts 25's and fire them up... I can't wait to listen to Pink Floyd - The Wall tonight...

P.S Michael, you live in Freiburg... You are a Lucky Man, that is a great city :thmbsp:.
I just came back from there last week, I travelled there to See the Scorpions on their farewell tour at the Messe Stadium.... Excellent Show and Great sound!!

Let me know about your sound system.
Danke schön!
