Celestion Ditton 15xr value?

The XR version are valuable because they use a better tweeter than the 15.

Wood veneer, british look and sound... they miss in my family of Celestion.

A hundred is a bit high... 80$ to 90 $ ( so, a hundred was not that high ! )

in original condition, no tweeter replaced, and all functionnal....

In this state, I would certainly grab them.

Slow, round bass... I love Dittons

Thanks for the info sax6, I appreciate it. I spoke with the seller on the phone. She is the original owner of the speakers and bought them when she worked in an audio store in Southern California. She is considering separating the set but I don't have a firm answer. I can check them out tomorrow morning so we shall see.

Audition them good first. Look out for tweeter sizzling ( bring a classical guitar
piece for them tweeter to reveal faults )

There not Western coast nor eastern coast sound neither... they are british.

Shure would like to grab those... never any in my part of Quebec.

Good luck and enjoy :)

Know what ?

Just Grabbed a pair of Ditton 15 XR that I never hoped to find...

Paid 130$ for a pair that's beat up but functionnal.

I know, it's well beyond a score but, I like those Ditton pretty much.

Did you get yours ?

I missed out on them. It's OK as I really have no place to put them. Glad you scored a pair.:thmbsp:
