I have a pair of old HED H-10 with the durotex finish. Somewhere along the line a previous owner replaced the woofers with some cheap radio shack units. I'd like to bring them back to either their previous glory or improve them. I cant find any reference to the drivers that were in this model other than its close to the W-10 but has a smaller voice coil...1.1" vs 1.5. I believe the drivers were used in other applications, just don't know what....would it be OK to source other 10" drivers like the ATW10 in hopes it would be ok with the crossover and tweeter?

That was my thought if I was in your shoes. I would find another Cerwin 10" driver. I had AT-10's for years and really enjoyed them.
If you are up to refoaming, you can proably find a deal.
