Chronology of Speakers you've owned?

I will only list speakers that I have used for a significant amount of time in my 2 channel system.
Sansui - I can't remember the model. Typical early 70s style. I liked them but they were stolen.
DB Plus 880 - insurance replacements for the Sansui's
Dahlquist DQ10 - great speakers!
Klipsch Cornwall
Klipsch RF7 II
Klipsch CF3 version 1- my favorite Klipsch
Sony SS-M7 - these are the best speakers I have ever owned [thanks John where ever you are]
ADS L710
The Sony's are my current main speaker, the ADS are in my second system.
I still own the DB Plus, and CF3 as well.

Wow, talk about an old thread! My list is very short...

~1974 RS Nova 7's Had them for many years changing / playing with different drivers and crossovers. Great looking cabinets.

~1980 Yamaha NS-690's Mk-II I think. About the same time a Yamaha SW-1 Sub.

~1982 Yamaha NS-1000M's Fell in love. :thmbsp:

~1983 Second pare of NS-1000M's

~2005 Two YST-SW315's

My list is even shorter :)

Cerwin Vega D15EEs. I bought them back in 1986; have never felt the need for another pair of speakers.

Another Short List

1. Akai "Jet Stream" speakers (I think they were part of a package my Dad got when he bought an Akai R-2-R. He never used them.)

2. Dynaco 25XLs - went to college with me.

3. Apogee Calipers.

4. Apogee Duetta Signatures - still have them, use them, love them. But I made their existence a bit less stressful by eventually setting them each atop an Infinity SSW-212 and actively crossing them over with a Threshold PCX at 75HZ. Glorious!

late70's Epicure 10
80's Infinity RS 1.5
90's Polk RM7300

Hands down the best sounding spkrs I have ever heard or owned are all part of the same family. The Yamaha NS series from the early to mid 80's which is why I buy and hold on to them. These are not for everyone as they are detailed to a fault ( some say bright) but for me they are heaven.

OK, like Cubdog and others, I'm only going to list speakers that served a significant tour of duty in my primary 2-channel system. We begin in the mid-70's; probably 1973 or 74 with the Realistics and end up with my second pair of Bose 901's, which I have owned from 2009 to today.

Realistic MC1000
Realistic Nova 7B

Don't know if it counts as something I've "owned", but I cut my teeth on listening to music on a "Voice of Music" consolewhich was very nice for the time. Then, MY speakers were (and the curve does not alweay continiue straight up) :

Sears all in one stereo (You know the type, AM/FM radio Turntable on top, 8 track recorder) (given to friend)

Zenith Allegro 3000 (sold)

Bose 301 series II ( sold as soon as I found out they sounded crappy everywhere but one spot in the house)

Infinity RS4b (sold for money to move, biggest mistake of my life)

Klipsch KG 1.5 (alternating with Baby Advent II's in computer room)

Infinity SM 100 (sold, good riddence)

Advent Laureate (Now in bedroom)

Advent Legacy

My surround speakers, when in use are JBL 2500 and Infinity Ref E-L

Speakerlab 1s which I have owned since I bought them new in 1980. Still going strong.

I simply added in a pair of "redesigned" Celestion Ditton 110s which I run along with the Speakerlabs. In the bedroom I have another pair of Ditton 110s which are just basically the cabinets with new crossovers and Peerless woofers paired with Philips copy tweeters (Goldwood).
