Isn't that what it all boils down to? Good/expensive equipment doesn't mean squat if it ain't jivin' with the room and the other components in the chain.
I'd rather have modest gear in the "right" room with the "right" components operating at it's full potential than expensive gear sitting there looking cool but sounding lame.
