Connecting CD to DAC

I have a Marantz CD65 with a digital output. I assume this is a digital coaxial connector. How do I - if this is possible - to connect the digital output from the CD player to the digital USB input on an Ifi DAC?

I cannot find a cable to make this connection (coaxial to USB). Your suggestions are much appreciated.

Derek, there is no cable that will work for what you want to do, as there are two totally different type signal protocols involved !
You can try looking/searching on line for a S/PDIF (coax) to USB converter, if such a converter exist, as I have not seen one, but I have never looked for, or needed that type converter.

Your Ifi brand DAC has no COAX input, only USB ?!

In my setup I needed to do the opposite of what you wish to do, by converting USB to S/PDIF (coax) which required a small stand alone USB powered converter.

Good luck, and welcome to A/K

I'm thinking that the Marantz has a nice internal DAC and if you could connect the lfi DAC it wouldn't be an upgrade.
If you really want to connect to an external DAC then you need to get one with optical/coax input. Mine has several inputs.
