Jubinville: According to the owner, it is in fact a Grundig Mandello. He claims that it has all the original tubes. However, from my reading, the Mandello was a SS unit. Which is correct? It no longer has the original Grundig Gouge-O-Matic turntable. That was apparently removed at some point in its life. For me, that lessens its value somewhat (even though I wouldn't dare use that TT). He's asking 50 for it. If he still has it by this weekend (and it is indeed tubed), I'll offer 20. It certainly looks to be (from the crappy CL pics) in decent cosmetic condition. And if it truly is tubes, there are likely some nice valves in there! :thmbsp:

Could be either one.
Ask the owner to take a photo with the back open up.
I don't know why the owner would lie about it being tubes.
The Mandello could have had a long manufacturing run
with the older models being tube. Any German built, 1960's
unit has value. Definetly worht $50. I would hook a cd player.

Good job Jubinville spotting those Pontiac wheels. However, to my untrained eye, they are attached to a Fiero. I'll find out for sure this weekend when I go see the console.
