I save every turntable from console and table model "all in ones" that I scrap. Sometimes, some older person will bring me a stereo that the grandkids mutilated the original TT or the original TT may have serious mechanical issues. In those cases, it's much easier to swap TT's. I've even used those '50's and '60's console TT pulls to replace the turntables in '30's and '40's radio/phono consoles in cases where the original TT was missing, in bad shape, or because more speeds besides 78 rpm were desired.
