Console tts worth saving?

I pulled a early 60's Dual from a Nordmende console and a Micromatic from a Westinghouse console.Both tubes.Are they trash or worth something to someone.I was going to throw them in the trash.In general or console tts junk?

Personally, I'd throw them up for sale or eBay - you never know who might be looking for one for parts or to fix their console. The old Duals were well built and some of the best moderately priced tables in their day. The Micromatic is probably a Collaro like they put in the Magnavox sets. Those really weren't bad changers in the 60's, better than the BSRs Websters and some VMs imo.

Of course they are worth saving or passing along. A turntable in a console is the same as one in a base/plinth. A Dual is a Dual. Most used a different connector for the power, but same thing.

Its a Dual 1004 S is the model #.Tried to post a pic but my computer is on the blink.

It can be amazing what you can find in a console. NEVER walk past a console with a peek under the lid. You could miss anything from Garrard 301's or Thorens TD-124's to Mac/Marantz/Fisher tube gear. Even some old Magnavox tube gear is worth the haul. I know a guy...

I save every turntable from console and table model "all in ones" that I scrap. Sometimes, some older person will bring me a stereo that the grandkids mutilated the original TT or the original TT may have serious mechanical issues. In those cases, it's much easier to swap TT's. I've even used those '50's and '60's console TT pulls to replace the turntables in '30's and '40's radio/phono consoles in cases where the original TT was missing, in bad shape, or because more speeds besides 78 rpm were desired.
