Contact cleaner

It seems that nobody in my area carries Deoxit contact cleaner but Radio Shack does carry their brand of contact cleaner. Is Radio Shacks contact cleaner safe to use on switchs/pots ect. and does is do a decent job?

Doesn't say where you are, but Guitar Center carries DeOxit.

I have some of the radio shack/the source brand stuff and it works great.

unfortunely but the closest Guitar Center is a bitch to get to and has zero parking thats why I am asking if Radio Shacks contact cleaner works and is safe to use. Radio Shack is just around the corner from me

Just be a bit patient until someone familiar with Radio shack products chimes in with specific advice. I very recently relied on a local but reputable electronics shop and bought and used a product that was 'cleaner plus lubricant' .... and the lubricant had some conductive qualities ...I am still trying to get rid of the effects!

I've never noticed anything weird about the Radio Shack stuff. A can of DeOxit, for about the same money, lasts longer, IMHO.
