CX-800 problem

Need help on trying to troubleshoot a problem in my CX-800 preamp. I'll be listening to music and suddenly no sound from my speakers. I look at my preamp and I see all the lights that I have selected on my input (tuner, CD, etc..) slowly fade out but the power light stays on. A few minutes later the input lights will come back on and the music comes back on and then the cycle will repeat itself. The same thing happened a few months ago, I took it to a local repair shop where they soldered some small cracks they found on the circuit board. Fast forward about four months and the same problem started again this past weekend with longer duration before the input lights come back on. I'm the original owner of this preamp, it's 110/220v and I have a MX-800 driving it. Any help on what the issue is that causes the preamp input to suddenly fade out would be greatly appreciated.

I had a CX-800, many solder joints looked suspicious. I refloted the entire board.
The problem with my unit was that one channel was dropping in and out on its own. Refloting the solder joints did not fix it, but cleaning the attenuator pot did the trick.

I cleaned all other pots afterwords.

Yep sounds like a cold solder connection in the power supply.
