D-80 rackmount handles will they fit on a Kenwood GE 1000

Since the GE 1000 is a perfect cosmetic match to the KA 801/KT-815/KX 1060 has anybody ever tried to mount the D-80 handles on this EQ?

I have a 19" rack built into a wall in one of our rooms and I'm trying to make a nice looking Kenwood Rack mount set up. The D-80's are sure hard to come by though but I'm slowly getting there.

Did you ever find out about the D-80 working on the GE-1000? Thanks, John
