DAC choice

My JOB DA 48 died last year after 12 years and I really miss it. Soundstage narrowed, bass a little sloppier and not as deep. Depth now harder to detect. Instrument placement not as clear.
I am also preparing to purchase a new HDTV, most of which just have digital audio out.
System ADS L710a woofers refoamed 10 years ago, NAD C370, Marantz CD SE and a Boston Acoustics powered sub.
Looking at the multibit Modi or the multibit Bifrost. First audio upgrade in 12 years!
Question - is my system resolving enough to tell the difference? If so, would it be a dramatic difference?
I really don't listen to much classical or jazz, However the difference between a great recording such as the CD of Suzanne Vega's "Tales from the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles" (what a mouthful!) and the awful sounding CD of Samantha Fish's latest "Wild at Heart" is hugely apparent.
Also would prefer not to buy overseas products- JOB is Swiss, was well made, but not easy to communicate with.

The only one I can recommend is the BiFrost MB, because its the only one I've heard (I own it). I do think you're system is good enough to hear the excellent sonics of the Bifrost MB.

the bifrost MB is extremely well received across the entire net, I haven't heard the modi MB but Schiit is a company where SQ improvement up the product chain doesn't diminish with pricing nearly as much as many other companies.

I would expect a significant sonic difference from the bifrost MB over the modi MB

Thread update-

Actually just got a loan from a friend of a AA DDE 1.1. Currently evaluating that, and he has a B & K Reference 31 I can try next.

Thanks for all the advice and comments. Just pulled the trigger on the Modi Multibit. If it's not my cup of tea, I have 2 weeks to decide to either return it or upgrade to the Bifrost Multibit.

I have heard 4 dacs now... Parasound Zdac, Grant Fidelity Tubedac 11, HRT Music Streamer II, and the Schiit Bifrost Multibit and the Schiit wins EVERY time! If you don't like your Modi, return it and get the Bifrost MB... you won't be sorry. Me and my friend both have one!
