DAC Suggestions

I am looking for a decent yet economical DAC to be used in conjunction with a receiver from the late ‘70s. I am attempting to set up a system for my wife so that she can stream music and use the stereo with YouTube. Your suggestions would be appreciated.

I haven’t really set one. I just don’t want to spend a lot and frankly I don’t know the range.

Definitely the lower end! It’s a simple system for the kitchen.
 
You can get good quality for as little as $9 from the Apple usb-c dongle, but what will you be using to stream music to the DAC? Perhaps you’re really looking for a streamer, such as the good old Chromecast Audio, or an Apple airport express?
