Posting this in 'General Audio Discussion' since it's an online music service. Feel free to move to another forum if necessary, I'm taking my best shot at where it should be.

Spotify latest to be hit by hack on users

Music-streaming service Spotify has become the latest high-profile technology company to be hit by a security breach.

The Swedish firm said no financial data had been accessed, and there was no "increased risk".

A portion of its 40 million users will need to re-enter, but not change, their log-in credentials.

Furthermore, all users of its Android mobile app would be forced to upgrade "over the next few days".

FOX news did a story on this on Shepard Smith reports. It turns out only 1 (one) person was hacked. I use Spotify daily, never a problem and I use the pay version.

I'm a paying subscriber, just joined end of April.
Yup, read that yesterday, but it says it was one person and it also says that Spotify took measures beyond the standards to address the issue.
To me it looks like Spotify is on their A game regarding this. Far better then what we have heard about how Target handled their breach, not to mention many other companies that dragged their feet when they were breached.
