DC Electronic

Never heard of a brand or model designated as such but I've seen descriptive labels on turntables: "DC Electronic" as in "DC" motor with "Electronic" speed control.

That's what I thought too. It looked interesting. Anyway it sold in a package deal.

That does appear to be a 212 or 312 in the photo.
(EDIT: you might want to delete the link, else this thread needs to mosey over to Dollars and Sense)

Philips 212

I bought the Philips 212 belt drive new and it was my " go to " turntable for eons.
It was my only TT till my GF came along with her own rock and roll stereo set up.
It was just in the shop to have a new belt, new lights, all the switches cleaned a couple of weeks ago.
I have also wanted to put a different tonearm on it, just to jazz it up a little.
This is what it looks like.

Tone arm will stay intact.

I'd rather leave the arm as is. What cart are you running on your 212?

Greetings from Munich!

The cartridge is an old Goldring G820E, on its second stylus.
It was installed by a friend soon after the purchase of the TT.
Thanks for the advice on the tone arm, it is just wishful thinking.:D
