DCM time windows - what kind of speaker plugs?

Just got a pair of TW3’s but puzzled by the speaker connections. My banana plugs (bog standard ones from Amazon) just can’t stay in they are too loose in there. Bare wire is just not possible. I think the speaker connectors are stock after comparing to online photos. Do these TWs require a special kind of banana plugs?

Those bananas you have are poor quality.
1) being all metal, if one falls out while listening and touches the other one, I hope you have an amp that will not die driving a zero ohm load.
2) the banana peel is not supplying enough tension to keep the plug inserted. Try expanding the peel to make em work until you can get a set of quality Pomona Dual Banana Plugs. Both wires into one plug, no chance of a short if wired properly in a neat and tidy fashion.

There are some other dual plugs that are adequate but they are not the Pomona copies from the far east. Those pieces are junk with bad grub screws and peel pieces that fall off.

Pomona is what the pro labs use, no need for shiny yellow metal coating, either.

Congratulations with the best TWs out there. I had the same problem. I widened the plugs a little with a screwdriver and that works well for me.

When I have a set of banana plugs that are too narrow, I use a set of medium size Channellock pliers to widen them. Expand the pliers to the largest notch, then put the end and tip of the plug between the jaws and gently squeeze. Has worked every time.

Alright I will try expanding the plugs with pliers. Also ordered a different set of banana plugs with external insulation from Amazon in case the plier route doesn't work. Will report back.

Used a flat head screwdriver to widen the plugs and now they fit! The new banana plugs also just arrived but looks like I may not need them. Thanks everyone for the help! Kinda lucked into these TW3's for not much money (and the very nice seller even drove over to my house to deliver them for no extra charge!). Only did some test listening in the garage, everything seems to work fine. Will move them into my room during the weekend. They are my first pair of DCM's and I'm quite excited to hear what they have to offer.

@leakingwater And do you like the TW3s? What kind of amp do you drive them with?
