ok. i know that in this forum i have com off like a complete idiot. I have adjusted the lifter height and then recalibrated the weight and i have it working correctly now and tracking at 2.5 grams which i verified with a digital scale.

If correct, the model number show it as a changer.
The tone arms of Technics changers are usually optimized for the a higher platter level.
To compensate, put about three lps or a cork mat of similar height under the rubber factory platter mat.

Initially to fix the height issue i stacked another rubber mat to make up for the height. that worked alright but now that i have adjusted the lifter height its all good.

Hardly. Technics provided information on how to adjust for different cartridges, seems silly to ignore that advice.
