difference between maggie 8802-00 & 8802-02

Sorry if I missed this, but I have been searching for quite a while and have yet to find the answer. So as title says, I am just curious what the difference is between the 8802-00 and the 8802-02.
I just picked up a 8802-00 which will be taken care of some time in the near future.

According to Magnavox service information, the 8801 has a balance control, 8802 has it external (in the tuner/preamp). So an 8802 will need a pair of 390 Ohm resistors added to operate stand-alone.

now I am not that smart, so bear with me.....the 8801 relates to the 8802-00 ?

I have read about the 390k resistor and the work that needs done on the 8802, it is just I often see 8802-00 or 8802-02, and I have the 8802-00, so was just curious what the differences were, if any. I was thinking the 8801 was a totally different amp that used the EL84 tubes where it is the 6v6 for the 8802-xx

The 8801 and 8802 were both variants of the 88xx series.

The differences between a 8802-00 and 8802-02 are genrally a resistor or a cap or two depending on what tuner/pre was put toghether with it. The Sam's for the 8802 should have a list of variants (00-01-02-03-04-etc) with the parts listed that are different.)

The original Magnavox schematic, if you can find it, has a chart of the various models and shows which models got what resistors. Its usually something to do with the feedback circuit. The 9300 series (the 6BQ5 amp) has a lot of variants with similar changes to the 8800 series.
