On Crunchy Roll
This an 11 part drama series which aired of Fuji TV in 2013 and takes place in a fictional world class Italian restaurant the Roccabianca. I am not to far into this 11 episode series but the scenes in the kitchen have been shot in a real high end restaurant somewhere. The drama is basically about the struggle of this restaurant to stay on top. The owner and head chef is Tatsumi Saori, Tatsumi father Tatsumi Hideo who founded the restaurant was the pioneer of Italian food in Japan. Tatsumi Saori gets and invitation to appear on "Iron Chef Japan" then disaster strikes.
I have never seen a show like this one. It would be interesting to hear trhee's take on this show. The kitchen scene where shot in a real high end Italian restaurant, the dinning area is the actual set. The producers of this show went to great length to get the atmosphere of such a restaurant down. So far they have nailed it. I had to keep reminding myself that this was not some show on Food TV.
