Does anyone know of Magnat Monitor A ?

Hey all, I see Magnat (Bull) speakers fairly frequently here in NZ but there's a pair of Monitor A Magnats which have come up for sale locally and I can't find much info on them.

This pair is finished in black and cosmetically they look immaculate. Not cheap at $100 NZ but I just wondered if they might be worth investigating further. Any thoughts ?

Thanks @Bratwurst7s that's basically all I could find too. We seem to get a fair few German migrants here in NZ so that would account for the Magnats popping up now and then.

They're a bit pricey on the auction so I think I will pass - I've got Advents and JBL's coming in soon to play with anyway :-)
 
I got a pair of Magnat Monitor C here waiting for a refoam.

They don’t appear to be very special compared to the Magnat drivers in my Dahlquist 9c. But with that name, they interest me enough to try the refoam and see.

FWIW. ALL vintage Advents need new foam. No surprise there.

And ALL Boston Acoustics do too.
 
I was going to bring up Dahlquist. I worked on a friend's 9M (I think) and the Magnat drivers were very fine!

Don't you wish that Europe would catch up with the modern world and list measurements in inches instead of millimeters? ;)

You may want to message also member magnat.i haven't seen him post in awhile but he use to love magnat speakers hence his username.
