Does GM ever have an original styling idea.

They stole Jeeps grill for the Hummer. When Jeep lost their case against GM I was dumbfounded. Now they stole the new Broncos grill for the electric Hummer. They've taken so many styling cues from Ford pickup trucks sometimes it's hard to tell them apart. They even stole the hood scoop from Toyota's big pickup. All car companies are guilty of it but GM's transgressions seem particularly egregious.

The new Corvette looks to me like they designed an exotic foreign (ie. European) sports car. I agree, the styling does not suck. On the other hand, some of the colors...

When we started building the Endeavor at Mitsubishi we brought in 3 different bit similar size SUV's. Jeep, Honda and and Toyota. All were parked facing the fence. From the rear you would have been hard pressed to tell which was which without badging

I dig Corvairs but my taste in vehicles runs heavily to the weird and unappreciated.
My buddie Don likes quirky and has a good half dozen or more corvairs in various states of repair/ customization. His strangest is a Corvair wagon that's been shortened and sits on a Jeep CJ frame with a V8 up front for power. He's got a coupe, a 4 door, even a rampside pickup with the cab right over the front axel.

He's probably got AADD cuz he's got all of them started but I doubt he'll ever finish one. He'll pick up interest in one and work on it for a while and then jump to something else. Too bad he didn't collect old Mustangs, Chevelles, GTOs, Porsches, etc. At least the piles of those parts would be worth something once he realizes he won't ever get to them.

Porsche kept their body style identity while Corvette went for the Lamborghini look it seems to me. I much prefer the rounded flowing body lines to the sculpted chopped up look. I have a C5 (not a Z06) with very few miles and have not been tempted to replace, though the new model looks faster and meaner.

C5 still had manual transmission option and has a good amount of cargo space under hatch. C6 and c7 have way less cargo capacity

Find a parking lot anywhere and look at the sea of grey, silver, white, or black crossover vehicles. Without looking at the badge, can you name who made them? I can't.

I can ID a Dodge Challenger though.
I get it mixed up with the new Chargers
