Don't see these Pioneer HPM 1500's often. Priced at $1400

If memory serves, those woofers are only found in that speaker and I think there are no suitable recone kits available.

You can sub a woofer from an HPM-150, but theyre just as rare.

I salvaged the supertweeters from a set some time back, and use them on my Merlin Music 1b's.

I found a pair local to me a few years ago for about $375.00. Just needed the top enclosures and grill fabric applied. The owner had the new fabric material too. They also had the original risers that lifts the speakers off the floor a few inches. You don't see them come with the speakers most of the time. Woofers (original) had been refoamed also. The highs are very annoying to me. Maybe in need of a recap? I have a lot of different vintage speakers to listen to so I have only used these for a short time just to demo them after the purchase. Got them stored away at the moment.
I do want to address the crossovers at some point in the future and see if the highs can be improved. The rest of the speaker sounded promising. I was suprised how well they could image too. All in all a cool vintage speaker that looks familiar to my much loved ESS amt1!

Friend of mine has a set of these and a set of the 1100s, I think the 1100s sound better. YMMV.
