Have you ever had an odd, bizarre dream you remember after waking up?

I had this one the other day. I'm back at school, but it's not a school I recognize. It's more like a series of expensive shopping stores, like Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA.

I'm late for something. I noticed a rack of super high-tech pogo sticks for student use. I have never used one before, so I have little control. I start flying over buildings --- so high that I can see the curvature of the Earth.

I can't stop the stupid pogo stick and end up in the desert.

Then I woke up.

Not recently but I used to always dream I was back in High School and either missed the first Advisory so did not know what all my classes were, OR I could not remember where my locker was or the combination.

I know I dream now but seem to lose it when I wake up.

Sometimes back in a generic school setting and unprepared for whatever is happening.
Or back in my days as a draftsman and trying to look busy with nothing to really do.
Though the majority of ones I remember involve working back at the Guild factory and my dear friend Charlie is always a part of it....I just had one of those last night. Man, I miss that guy :(

Ever have a dream you are out at dinner (or some similar event) with your wife? However, it's not your wife.

It's some woman acting like your wife, but you've never met her before.

Is this wishful thinking? ;)

Sorry about that...

Nope. Don't think I've had that one.
I used to have flying dreams as a kid. I had to jump up into the air and fold both legs underneath me and I'd float about 6 feet off the ground. Not sure I could even fold my legs like that anymore.

Most dreams are a product of our anxieties...hence some of the common themes such as lateness, unpreparedness, lostness, nakedness, falling...
And while you're asleep the part of your brain that does rational thinking is turned off...which is why such crazy things happen yet we accept them. Also, you're physically unable to move which is what keeps up from hurting ourselves.

I've had hundreds if not thousands of dreams that I remember. I can recall dreams within dreams, and have consciously altered the outcome of my dreams on several occasions. I have a lot of fun when I sleep, more fun than in real life. Some anxiety, too.

The good times, though, boy if I could sell tickets I'd be a rich man!

My sister is like that. She can remember every dream, every detail.
She once took an evening class about dream interpretation. It wasn't long before everybody else stopped sharing and just wanted to hear her stories.

Have you ever had one where you have to call someone? But you don't remember the phone number, even though it's someone close to you. Or you can't find your phone.

You finally find your phone, and it's a super old-school Blackberry and the buttons don't work.

Or you keep dialing the same wrong number? Over and over.

I got into Lucid Dreaming in my 20s. I'd read a bunch of Carlos Castaneda, and bought a few books on Lucid Dreaming more specifically...I mean...peyote wasn't always readily available . I practiced at achieving it and when I was successful, I had some of the coolest experiences I've ever had...sans drugs...

My dreams have me being lost. I'll drive somewhere, park the car, do something, come back to the car just to find it missing, and I don't recognize any of the surroundings. Another one is I'll enter a multi-story building for some reason, get on an elevator, get off on some floor, not recognize anything, get back on the elevator to another floor and the same thing happens, over and over again; lost in that building. About me: I was abandoned as an infant, raised it two different orphanages and three different foster parents. I can see how such a background could trigger that sort of a dream scenario.

Going to class unprepared or late: taking a test without prep; can't find classroom; Lost in campus and shopping mall.
Can't find hotel on trip; can't find car in parking lot; Can't find terminal and going to miss flight.

Those look related. I think it means be more prepared but live with Mr. Murphy.

Flying by flapping arms. <<<< Whoo Hoo I might be going places :)
Why no wet dreams since when? :D

I have these types of dreams. People tell me, "Oh, something important is coming up in your life, and you feel very anxious about it."

The thing is, these dreams are completely random. In reality, nothing important is happening.
