Dual CS455 help

While attempting to fix my Dual (45 setting wouldn't work at all), it seems I mistook the speed calibration holes on the bottom of the motor for screws.... needless to say I am not a smart man. I've been attempting to undo what I did by using a screwdriver again but the speed hasn't adjusted at all. Any idea how to fix this? If not, any chance you guys have a Dual DC 205 motor laying around? Thanks!

Well, I'd first suggest to try it again - what you need would ideally be a trimmer tool, but you can also use a very small screwdriver with flat blade, best isolated with a bit of adhesive tape. And you need to be aware, that the adjustment is sequence dependent - however, Dual unfortunately has published conflicting info on that, so that I'm not 100 % sure, which speed has to be adjusted first (but I think it should be 33 1/3 rpm (for which the corresponding trimmer would be the in the hole marked with an L) in this case...).

If it should turn out, that the speed adjustment doesn't work anymore, you'd probably best take the motor apart and check, whether your previous attempts may have squished the trim pots or whatever...

Oh, and don't forget to check, whether the speed switch still works.

This helps a ton thank you so much. I'll keep the sequence dependent issue in mind in my next attempt and try to get my hands on a trimmer tool. Considering I previously thought the trimmers were screw holes... how would I go about taking apart the motor? That's something I did some research on previously but had no luck on it.
 
ib: Found some more info on the DC205 motor in the meantime - from that it looks like the motor dis- and reassembly would be rather complicated and require rather robust methods. So I guess I'll better take back my suggestion. Instead you'd probably better either contact your local Dual distributor or Sintron over here for a replacement motor (might be pretty expensive, though...) or grab a cheap donor unit like a used CS410/415 to salvage a DC205 from... Another idea could be to contact your local Thorens distributor, 'cause the Thorens siblings of the CS4xx models should also be equipped with the DC205.

On a funny sidenote, from pics it looks like the Clearaudio Concept would use the same inner platter/platter pulley and motor as the CS4xx Duals - I'd be lmao, if that would turn out to actually be the case... ;)

Guess that's my next plan of attack! I'll keep trying to adjust the speed and get to contacting those people or can scrap a 410 or 415. Hoepfully there's a distributor around here in Lansing.

Wow... it does look exactly the same... I know mine isn't of that quality but this makes me feel a bit better about mine.
