Dyanaco A-25 vs EPI 100

I have several pairs of EPI speakers 100's, 50's, and 60's and have an opportunity to get a pair of Dynaco A-25's for $100

Can anyone familiar with both EPI 100's and Dyanco' compare & contrast their sound - relatives strength and weaknesses -

I had both at the same time as well as a pair of Large Advents and JBL 88+12's....the A-25 and EPI 100 were similar thru the midrange...I thought the bass/midbass of the A-25 was better/more defined but the tweeter/treble region of the EPI 100 was superior compared to the A-25.

Never been one to use audiospeak, but I will say the Dynacos sounded better to me -- fuller sound. YMMV

I've had both, and they're both great speakers. For my money the EPI tweeters just had a sweeter, smoother sound.

Dynaco have better mid and low, but those EPI's are better for high end and detail. That has been my experience.

Anyone grafted a pair of EPI tweeters onto Dynaco speakers? This could be the ticket, but I'd need a look at the crossovers of each before giving you my final answer.

Dynaco: awesome alinco tone, "bigger" sound.
Epi : more detailed.
