Are the woofers in the Dynaco a25 and a35 exactly the same ? I'm thinking of building a pair of dynaco A-35 clone cabinets . Just wondering can my a25 woofers work in this larger cabinet . Also who sells these vario resistive vents that works in Dynaco speakers ? Comments appreciated .

However, the A-35 cabinet's aperiodic vent (slot) is located inside of the cabinet. See these plans:

Tastes differ, of course, but I think the result won't repay the effort. I have been disappointed by both the A 35 and the A50 -- neither sounded as good to me as the A25, though certainly specific aspects of the performance are better -- more bass mostly. But some of the liveliness and coherence seemed missing, and I valued those qualities more than the increased bass extension, which still wasn't subterrranean.
