Dynaco A-25 and New Large Advent question

Been doing research here and elsewhere. I'm almost certain I have the Dynaco A-25 and the New Large Advent. Care to confirm?

The Dynacos sound like chocolate milk: Smooth, full and irresistible. The Advents need new woofer surrounds, so I haven't tried them yet.

I'll confirm the a-25's. I just picked up a set myself and have been doing LOTS of research on them. So far, I think they are terrific sounding. :thmbsp:

You are right about the Advents too.

You are lucky, those are the easiest speakers to refoam ever.

I had both the Dynaco A-25's and the original Deluxe Advents. Yep, you have the Dynaco A-25's and a later model of the Deluxe Advent. My Advents had sharper edging on the cabinets. I eventually sold the Advents but kept the Dynacos until some mold formed in them and my wife made me get rid of them because she was sensitive to them. They both sounded excellent, but I preferred the Dynaco's because I thought their top end was cleaner. The Advents are definitely worth fixing up.

Thanks to all. In cases like this it's nice to be 100% sure.

This purchase (I got both from the same yard sale) is a nice addition to my collection which includes the HPM-100, AR-2ax and AR-8.

I'm looking forward to re-foaming the Advents.

There was an article in the Advent sticky about the double Advent setup. Can't wait to get my second pair to try that too.

Those Dynacos are AMAZING. When I first played them I thought my sub was on. It wasn't.

Great set of vintage speakers:yes: I recently paired my new large advents and dynaco A25 with a pioneer SX 3700 receiver. My A (front speakers are Minimus 7w's)

IMHO the Advents responded better at higher volumes with digital imput at the lower end with fantastic bass. I'm not talking ear splitting volume, Just around mid range. Some CDs have that added bottom that can muddle the
A25's.

The A/B Minimus 7w's & NLA produce a great sound stage:music:
