Dynaco A25 and internal filling , how much ?

I have a pair of Dynaco A25 speakers and EPI-100's . I've read a few user reviews in which some have said these have deeper bass than the EPI's . Well after an A&B test I find this not to be the case . The EPI loudspeakers seems to have more bottom end and reach deeper into the bass than the Dynaco speaker. I opened the Dynaco's to take a look inside and found fiberglass stapled to the walls . Nothing else , basically a hollow box lined with 1 inch of fiberglass on 5 panels??? , Is this all the filling these speakers left the factory with ? If anyone has ever opened their A-25's how much filling did you find . Just trying to figure out why these don't beat the EPI's in the bass like other reviewers have stated . Comments appreciated

They won't beat EPI 100s in the bass dept. It is inherent in their design that A-25s roll off severely below 60 HZ the EPI is good to 40 HZ . The A25 has a bass peak that gives the illusion of real bass.

It looks like someone took the insulation out of yours somewhere in their past. Both pairs of mine have the good ol' yellow fiberglass insulation that's rather thick and must be removed before getting to the cap and resistors on the insides. That plastic sheet was a protection, apparently, to keep the stuff off the parts. I guess...
