Dynaco Pas2 Recap..

Well I am starting to get some funny noises from one channel so its time to finish the recap. I am going to keep it stock with no mods to see what it sounds like. I am going to use polyester film caps, can't afford orange drops at the moment. I was wondering if I should replace the pf caps? I believe they are all mica caps. I am also curious if I can go ahead and use a .0068 in replace of the .0075? and should I use the .0047 or .0033 in place of the .004?

I am pretty sure the topic of recapping all things Dynaco has had several exhaustive threads already.

You might want to try a search on the forums for past threads:

I've had problems with one channel sometimes in my SCA-35 too, it's usually loose or dirty tube sockets. Mica caps last forever so you can keep those, just make sure you get rid of any ceramic caps, there usually round and brown colored.

I just did mine, and used the ps series orange drops from AES , .0068 for the .0075's, and .0033 for the .004's, and it sounds great. Good luck.
