dynaco xover knob

Swimming in Sound
hello, i am refinishing a pair of dynaco a35 speakers and would like to know what to do with the knob on the xover. I am replacing the cap and am wondering if the knob needs attention. i would be happy bypassing it altogether as i am a KISS guy.

happy listening!

p.s. the a35 xover is the same as the a25

I assume by saying knob what we are refering to is the tweeter control . It would be good to squirt some Deoxit D5 inside that little case and spin it back and forth about 50 times, then a squirt of Deoxit Gold or even Faderlube and spin some more. Clean and complete contact makes for happy speakers.

i thought knob was the proper technical term.... :para:

deoxit for sure.

well, after the tung oil is done with....

thanks!

Didnt mean to be mean...but dealing with so many diff people that are on so many different levels it just pays to be specific as to what exactly we are talking about. Knob to you could mean the entire assembly, and to the next be referring to the plastic thing that rotates the shaft of the control. To that guy, he only needs to clean the knob if its sticky.
