Tubes Are Timeless...
I found a pair of Dynalab Model 2.8 signature Reference speakers at my local SA, and was wondering if they where any good. I have pictures but I am on my phone, and cannot post them. I can get them after work if someone let's me know if they are any good. Thanks.

Pretty sure these are at the "acceptable" end of white van speakers. Might be alright for garage or party use. Rip-off of the Dynaudio name.

Well for $15 I could not pass them up. I did a little research on them, and they have been known to be "amp killers" due to poor build quality on the woofers, which allows each woofer to stray away from the correct ohms. It can even get as bad from going from a 6 OHM speaker, to a 2 Ohm speaker.

Well I am not going to risk my system, but I did give them a quick play. I am going to say they are exactly worth $15. So I believe I did good. I am already thinking of doing some mods such as some better woofers from PE. I am even considering plugging up the port, and adding a 8" passive radiator with a 8" woofer, and see how that turns out.

The White Van speakers not only ripped of the Dynaudio name they also buggered the Polk SDA siganture:)

There real good at that huh. My Friend said "I don't know who's signature reference they are talking about, but it can't be any good." :D

Old post, but it comes up in a search for these speakers so.....Your pair must be defective because I just got a pair of these this past weekend at an estate sale where they refused to separate stereo components. It was all or none, so I got forced into having these.
Sad to say.....but to me the set of SDA 2.8's that I got actually sound fairly good. I'm sort of mad that they don't sound horrible.
They actually sound better to me than a lot of "pricey" vintage speakers that go for WAYYYYYY more money.
I'm in shock.

I picked up a pair of these and a pair of Advent AS2s for $20 total. I invested $30 in 4 tweeters, two for each set. The Advent are outstanding, and these are actually quite good. Really not bad for $50 invested...
