Dynamikks Monitor 12 speakers

I like to show you now my nice, vintage looking loudspeaker named DYNAMIKKS Model 12, produced by a small company named Dynakikks near Heidelberg/Germany. Founder of DYNAMIKKS is Ulf Moning, well known in Germany for producing fine audio equipment for nearly over 25 years.

The speakers are a hommage to the ancestor and antetype of them, the iconic Altec-Lansing Model 14.

The speakers cabinet consist of two parts. The lower part includes the bass/midrange speaker, the upper, the removable part with the horn, the terminals for the speaker cables, a Speakon cable connecting bass/midrange driver to the horn, the crossover network and a mid/high frequency equalization network in front to allow adjustments within +/- 3 dB separately. Also included is a designed crossover damping which allows a very much controlled bass reproduction. Much appreciated in case you drive the speakers with small single ended tube amplifiers.

Drivers: 12 zoll bass/midrange driver / 1 zoll compression driver mounted to a 12 zoll biradial horn.

Crossover Frequency: 1100 Hz
Frequency Response: 38 Hz - 20 kHz
Dimensions: 88 H/ 54 W/ 40 D (cm)
Price: 4,500€

They sound fast, dynamic, open and powerful. Bass has body, pressure and high precision. Mids and highs sound both dynamic with great solution and excellent room reproduction.

Very nice Volker! I had read about Dynamikks several years ago and would have loved to listen to a pair. Some of the model(s) seem to have changed a bit since your model, and here in the USA, we have gotten a distributor for the brand not all that long ago. Maybe at some point I will get to hear them. Yours look very nice and I imagine, quite a nice sounding speaker!

I tend to enjoy quite a few products from Germany myself! Enjoy your music!

Dynamikks introduced some very interesting audio components over the last years but now Ulf Moning focus is on loudspeaker only.
Unfortunately, as he told me, the "Model 12" is only available in Germany! He sells also directly from his company to the end-user, therefore no dealer network excist here in Germany .

And yes, the speaker sounds amazing. Exactly what I wanted and it's matching the rest of my equipment perfectly.

Happy to hear you listen to your music with some German equipment too. Funny, you are using German Linnenberg equipment, me American McIntoshs. This is, what I call, globalized trading.

Yes, very interesting for sure, certainly a global hobby, if one calls music a hobby! I imagine it would be very costly to import/ship a pair of the Model 12’s to the US. At one point I had given some thought about finding more out on this, but I am very happy with myGerman Duevel Venus omnis, along with the LinnenberG and Lindemann electronics.

Everything is finished, all furnitures are in place and the listening to my music can now start.
