Early AR3a Factory Crossover Change (Woofer Inductor)?

I read that AR changed the inductor from 1.88 mH to 2.8 mH somewhere in the early part of the speakers lifespan.

Supposedly they re-measured the speakers response and found a hump in the woofers upper range and the increased inductance was supposed to help smooth it out. I wonder if it only applies to later ceramic magnet speakers?

I just acquired a pair of early AR3a speakers (alnico magnets, cloth surrounds). I will be refreshing the crossover anyhow (caps, pots), so should I change the inductor to a 2.88 mH?

I guess I could always add a switch to add or bypass an additional 1.0 mH coil into the circuit. Not quite a factory look with an extra switch.
