ESS AMT 1's or ESS AMT 1A's??

To all ESS AMT speaker owners...

I have a pair of the ESS AMT 1's, but am considering a pair of ESS AMT 1A's.
anyone know if there is a difference in sound quality comparing the ESS AMT 1's and ESS AMT 1A's? both have the same Incredible HEIL tweeter

ESS AMT 1's have a 10" woofer and a 2.5 inch port out the bottom of the cabinet.

ESS AMT 1A's have a 12" woofer and a passive radiator on the back of the cabinet..

any thoughts on sound comparisons between these 2 lines?

Well obviously the 1As will go a little deeper. Some feel that the 1s are more coherent because the smaller woofer mates better. Both are (obviously) awesome as you well know. Don't get rid of the 1s, whatever you do. The 1As are surprisingly much larger. I have a pair of 1Cs and my dad has 2 pairs of 1s. The 1s are absolutely tiny in comparison. Both sound fantastic in their own way.

good to know...

In your opinion, which pair do you like best? I've always been intriqued with the larger 12" woofer on the 1A's...
