Estate Sale Score?....Judges?

Here's what I picked up:

Sansui 661
Dynaco A-25 VW
Panasonic RS-260US Cassette
BSR McDonald Turntable

All are covered with nicotine and dust...work cut out for me there...

I am playing some jazz through the Sansui 661 and the Dynacos as I type....
I am absolutely amazed!!
I have always wanted to hear the Dynacos...the bass is amazing!
Deep and defined...the mids solid and the highs...sharp and detailed.

Check out the pics and you be the judge...Score or no score?

Looks good to me. I've had the 551 and 771 Sansui on either side of the lineup as yours, and liked them both, as well as my A-25s, which are one of my favorite small speakers. That's a very nice little setup.

Nice score, but I've never seen orange tweeters in A25s before...

Same here :scratch2:

Never seen Dynacos with this color/style grill cloth either :scratch2::scratch2:

These say on the back "Made in the USA"...I thought Dynaco was made in Denmark?

It depends on the price.
I got one of those receivers for free and haven't listend to it yet. I don't know if I would be putting any of my better vinyl on that TT though.

I don't know 'bout the TT either...

might wind up in trash if I can't find any info on it...

If you paid ebay prices for them no score but if you got the stuff cheap then sure it's a score.

Personally I would have maybe gotten the Receiver to clean up and flip if it was under $20.00. The speakers I know to be sought after so depending on the price sure.

The deck and the table not a second look.

ONLY because I don't need or want any of these items so I would look at them only as trade goods. A collector would see it different.

Thanks Mark,

I only bought all the pieces because they were tagged as a "set"
The only brand I saw was sansui on the receiver.
I didn't even know the speakers were Dynaco's until I loaded them in the truck.

Total for all...$35.00

That was a very nice pickup. Don't trash the TT yet...if it has a good stylus & cart clean 'er up to use for auditioning garage sale/thrift/unknown vinyl. Never can have too many turntables!

Cleaning the speakers now...receiver next then the TT...

I will check the cart and TT operation tomorrow or Monday.

Deal!

Mostly for the Dynacos, which are worth more than that by themselves. The Sansui might be a nice piece (I've got no knowledge). Keep your vinyl away from that turntable! The table really has no redeeming qualities IMO.

That's an Audio-Technica of some sort. That TT dates from 1972-75 or so & most had a Shure M44 fitted...so it's been replaced at some time in the past.
