Ever have an actual "Dream"...about Vintage Audio?

So this was a first for me. Wonder if anyone else literally "dreams" about their gear? Seems I've taken my audioKarma to a new level.
Last night, I had a bad dream.....a nightmare.....!

My prized Marantz receiver was damaged by someone.
I can still see it plain as day.
It had been pushed through a wall, front side sticking out into one room and the backside sticking out into the other room...cables and all.
NIGHTMARE!

I have never dreamed about my system untill the other night. I just put together a new system and I dreamed it got stollen. I was in a quandry what to do next....

I have had a few. They are usually of me getting really lucky and finding someone put some good gear out by the road for me to pick up. Usually the gear is missing important parts or I'm not allowed to take it...

I had a dream the other night about finding a mid-powered Pioneer receiver not sure if I was buying it or it was free. Then my wife wakes me up telling me I had a phone call
probably missed a good score. :tears:

Back in my dark days, I once had a paxil-nightmare about the aux/phono/tape monitor lights in my sansui 4000 were spelling out evil things when i switched it on. (OT: never let a doctor 'recommend' meds) huge mistake, thank god i only lasted 6 months on it.
That dream was vivid&ultra bizarre.

I've dreamed that I found a treasure trove of vintage Technics gear in my dad's basement; at a place he lived about 20 years ago.

actually yes and then i wake up disappointed cause i wake knowing it was only a dream and i really do not own a Yamaha MX-10000 or Sansui G33000 or anything else i dreamed of.

She was wearing transparent record sleeves in my dream. :D

Back to the OT: No, I haven't dreamed of Vintage gear and in spite of what people that know me may say, there's absolutely nothing wrong with me!
:scratch2:

I think I dreamed, or maybe someone else dreamed and wrote about it, of my speakers being put in an energized cloths dryer. God knows why. Maybe someone else mentioned it long ago. I can't remember, it was a long time ago.

But like, in any event...wow...WTF are my speakers doing in a rotating cloths dryer?????

There was one dream I had.... in the dream, I found a hidden room in a goodwill that was stacked with all of the best quality pioneer gear imaginable in perfect shape for cheap :thmbsp:

I keep having dreams of finding sealed cassette tapes in boxes out on people's curbs. One time I had a dream I found a box full of tapes. A guy told me I couldn't have them but when he turned around, I grabbed the box. The box was full of old paperback books and I turned to see him dump the tapes in a compactor while laughing.

sorry bro, but i have to say there is something wrong with you. there is a deep down hidden feeling you are suppressing. it's ok to let it all out.

I dreamed about going to a thrift store. I was the only customer there in the electronics section and they had a load of old Realistic receivers and wondering which one will I want. I purchased the STA 2200 receiver for $25 bucks. Then I woke up.

Yes I have. Much of the time the "plot" is along the lines of my finding a real "score". I usually become aware that I'm dreaming because it's way too good to be true (or in non-audio related dreams, the physics are "off" as compared to the real world).

It's kind of hard to tell any more. Outside of the really wild dreams, I don't remember most of what I dream about any more. Kind of sad. I used to really like replaying them and telling others about (most) of them. :thumbsdn:

I've dreamt twice, that I can remember, about audio gear. Once after I had all mine stolen for the second time and another about someone else's cat pissing right in front of me onto the owner's electrostatics much to the animals painful surprise. I'll spare you the medical details. And no, it wasn't just a dream, the stupid animal did it right in front of me and came to regret it in the real world. I then went on to dream about other animals ending up similarly shocked.
Go ask a Freudian psychiatrist.
I do however often 'dream music' and image I'm hearing it very clearly. Invariably this is classical pipe organ music.
Apparently this isn't all that common for some reason. I wonder why?
